​Your new Board assumed office in January 2026, and we started off the year with an interesting presentation by Jim Hamerly, who founded the non-profit organization Sequoia Sentinels in 2006. His presentation covered the environmental benefits and positive impact to the environment that these beautiful giants provide.

​

February's speaker was David Boucher, who taught us about growing tomatoes; March's speaker was Jay Amshey, who talked about tree ferns. In April we heard a very interesting presentation by Beth Italia, owner of BlkRobn Lavender Farms, and had the opportunity to purchase many of her wonderful lavender products.

 

The May luncheon and fashion show were fabulous and the June 6th Home Garden Tour was a huge success. On June 10th we enjoyed a presentation by Anderson's La Costa Nursery and in July we were so impressed by the work being done by Ecolife. Debby Dunn's talk about pollinators in August was both informative and entertaining. In September we heard from our very own Save the Monarch Butterfly Club, and in October Tyler Trimble, aka "Mr. Trees," taught us about fruit trees. There will be no meeting in November due to Veterans Day activities in the clubhouse, and plans are already underway for a holiday tea party in December.

We love learning about new gardening topics each month. Most of all, we treasure the friendships cultivated through social interaction and Club activities.

The sun is shining bright on the future of the Garden Club. Come share our sunshine and congenial company.
